Softball Recap: Worthington Kilbourne Extends Winning Streak to Three

Worthington Kilbourne put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Franklin Heights Falcons get on the board and left with a 22-0 victory. The Wolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.

Becca Boue was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Boue' was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Boue' is crushing it when it comes to RBI: she's brought in at least three every time she's taken the field this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Josie Janosy, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. Juliana Orlins was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Worthington Kilbourne's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Franklin Heights, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Worthington Kilbourne didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-4 victory against Groveport-Madison on the 29th. As for Franklin Heights, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-1 defeat against Northridge on the 29th.
