Basketball Recap: Cripple Creek-Victor Pioneers vs. KIPP Denver Collegiate White Tigers
After flying high against Colorado School for the Deaf Blind last Thursday, Cripple Creek-Victor came back down to earth. The Cripple Creek-Victor Pioneers took a hard 46-31 fall against the KIPP Denver Collegiate White Tigers on Saturday. The Pioneers were down 38-18 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Cripple Creek-Victor still got an impressive performance from Trevor Mirande, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. Mirande is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Lohmeier, who posted five points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.
