Basketball Recap: Fulton Leadership Academy Gryphons vs. Atlanta Classical Academy Cavaliers
This season hasn't been kind to the Fulton Leadership Academy Gryphons, who are still winless after their ninth matchup. They were outmatched by Atlanta Classical Academy on the road and fell 66-31. While losing is never fun, Fulton Leadership Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 539th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 257th).
It was another big night for Miller McGowan, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and six steals for Atlanta Classical Academy. McGowan is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 17 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zachary Bynum, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Fulton Leadership Academy dropped their record down to 0-9 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Atlanta Classical Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
