Recap: Pettus Eagles vs. Prairie Lea Indians
The Pettus Eagles entered their tilt with the Prairie Lea Indians with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Pettus walked away with a 63-51 win over Prairie Lea on Friday. This was payback for Pettus, who suffered a 62-32 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Pettus found their leader in underclassman Ramon Reyna, who scored 25 points. Reyna hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Hernandez, who scored 15 points.
Pettus' win bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Prairie Lea, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.
Pettus will head out on the road to take on Nordheim at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Nordheim is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Prairie Lea will take on Austwell-Tivoli at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Austwell-Tivoli's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
