Volleyball Recap: Commodore Perry Takes a Loss

If Commodore Perry was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Farrell on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Erie Royals on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Commodore Perry started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-16, 25-16, 25-16.

Commodore Perry dropped their record down to 3-9 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Erie, their victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 2-11-3.

Looking ahead, Commodore Perry will head out to take on Calvary Baptist Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Erie, they will host Harbor Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
