Basketball Game Preview: Bellmont Braves vs. Norwell Knights

Bellmont is 2-8 against Norwell since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The two teams will face off at 7:30 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Bellmont is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past New Haven 53-26. Winning may never get old, but the Braves sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Meanwhile, Norwell waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They took their game with ease, bagging a 64-16 victory over the Indians. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Indians are ranked 235th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Norwell's win bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Bellmont, their victory bumped their record up to 22-2.

Bellmont skirted past Norwell 47-44 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bellmont since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
