Liberty had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Monday. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Centennial Golden Hawks. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered an 8-7 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Liberty gave Garrett Berg the start and clearly made the right call: he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, Liberty got a massive performance out of Brodie Snow, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Cash Gerecke was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Liberty kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.

Liberty's record is now 14-6. As for Centennial, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-9-1 record.

Liberty will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Golden Hawks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
