There's no place like home for Firelands, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They blew past the Vermilion Sailors 60-34 on Monday. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 24 points or more this season.

Mason Cooper and Jerimiah Lopez certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Cooper posted seven points, while Lopez put up eight points.

Firelands has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for Vermilion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Firelands will take on Cloverleaf at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cloverleaf knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matches -- so hopefully Firelands likes a good challenge. As for Vermilion, they will challenge Port Clinton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
