Soccer Game Preview: Freeman vs. Deep Run

Freeman is 1-9 against Deep Run since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Mavericks will head out on the road to square off against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m.

On Friday, Freeman didn't have quite enough to beat Godwin and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Deep Run made sure to put some goals up on the board against Maggie Walker on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over Maggie Walker. The result was nothing new for Deep Run, who have now won ten contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Deep Run has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-0-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 48 goals over those eight matchups. As for Freeman, they now have a losing record of 5-6-2.

Freeman suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Deep Run in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Mavericks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
