Vail Mountain is 9-0-1 against Basalt since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Gore Rangers will be playing at home against the Longhorns at 2:00 p.m.

Vail Mountain is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to nine goals on Saturday, they were much more limited against Delta on Tuesday. They lost 6-0 to the Panthers. The loss put an end to Vail Mountain's undefeated start to the season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Basalt, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in March. They never let Aspen get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory two weeks ago. Basalt have beaten Aspen the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Aspen has come to flipping the script.

Nyla Visnic and Macy Rowley scored both of Basalt's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Basalt's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2-1. As for Vail Mountain, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1-1.
