Softball Recap: Paden City Wildcats vs. Valley Lumberjacks
Paden City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 19-10 to the Valley Lumberjacks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Paden City of the 20-8 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Saturday.
Riley Blake was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlee Sweeney, who scored a run while getting on base in four of her seven plate appearances.
Paden City's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Valley, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12.
Paden City didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-0 defeat vs. Turkeyfoot Valley Area on the 27th. Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
