Providence School lost against Episcopal School of Jacksonville back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Providence School Stallions fell 16-12 to the Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles.

Elle Burns put in work while hitting and pitching. She tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off two hits. Burns was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Summer Stearns and Lorelai Herndon did some serious damage despite the final result: Stearns scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Herndon went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run. Stearns has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kayleigh Cardona, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Providence School's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Episcopal School of Jacksonville, their victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Providence School will host West Nassau at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Episcopal School of Jacksonville, they will venture away from home to face off against Bishop Kenny at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
