Basketball Recap: Carencro Piles Up the Points Against Acadiana

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Carencro's strategy against Acadiana on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Carencro Bears blew the Acadiana Rams out of the water with a 58-22 final score. The Bears pushed the score to 37-17 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rams had little chance of recovering from.

Despite the loss, Acadiana still got an impressive performance from Essence Green, who posted three points along with eight rebounds and six blocks. Those six blocks gave Green a new career-high. Delane Pham also deserves some recognition as she pulled down her first board of the season.

Carencro's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11. As for Acadiana, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-17.

Carencro wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 51-34 loss against Southside on the 30th. As for Acadiana, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 65-31 defeat against Sam Houston on the 29th.
