Soccer Game Preview: Jordan vs. Stansbury

The Jordan Beetdiggers will head out on the road to challenge the Stansbury Stallions at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Jordan has now lost 14 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 11.

On Friday, Jordan didn't have quite enough to beat Cottonwood and fell 2-1. One reason for the loss might be Jordan's aggressive play style: three Jordan players were handed yellow cards.

Their goal came courtesy of Billy Ostler, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Stansbury fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Layton Christian Academy on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 1-0. Stansbury's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Jordan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Stansbury, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

Jordan might still be hurting after the 4-1 defeat they got from Stansbury in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Beetdiggers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
