Recap: Colonial Christian Cougars vs. Heritage Hall Christian Patriots
The Colonial Christian Cougars can finally bid farewell to their 13-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against Heritage Hall Christian by a score of 42-34. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Colonial Christian has managed all season.
Clayton Gannon had an outrageously good game as he scored 17 points along with six assists and five steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared Ferguson, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
Colonial Christian's win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-12. As for Heritage Hall Christian, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Colonial Christian will head out on the road to take on Suburban Christian at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Colonial Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Thursday. As for Heritage Hall Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-10 loss vs. Mooresville Christian on the 9th.
