Volleyball Recap: Alvirne Takes a Loss

Alvirne lost against Dover back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Broncos came up short against the Green Wave, falling 3-0. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Alvirne might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Dover: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23, 25-22.

Dover found their leader in sophomore Jovie Meeker, who had eight digs and three aces. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Meeker.

Alvirne's loss dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Dover, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Alvirne will square off against rival Nashua South at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Dover is set to take on their familiar foe Bedford at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
