Soccer Game Preview: Okeechobee vs. Central

The Okeechobee Brahmans will head out to challenge the Central Cobras at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Okeechobee's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Okeechobee fell victim to Centennial and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 6-0 to the Eagles. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Brahmans haven't been shut out since back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, Central kept a clean sheet against Westwood on Monday. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over the Panthers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cobras.

Central's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-11. As for Okeechobee, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-5-1.

Okeechobee took their victory against Central in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 5-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Okeechobee since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
