Flag Football Game Preview: El Capitan Vaqueros vs. El Cajon Valley Braves

The El Capitan Vaqueros will face off against the El Cajon Valley Braves at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. El Cajon Valley took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on El Capitan, who comes in off a win.

El Capitan's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Monte Vista 33-0. The Vaqueros might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 22 points or more this season.

Kylee Frazier was her usual excellent self, throwing for 267 yards and five TDs while completing 73.7% of her passes, and also rushing for 50 yards. Those five passing touchdowns gave her a new career-high. Ciara Bernardini was Frazier's top target, picking up 83 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also rushing for 55 yards.

Another reason for the win was El Capitan's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. In that department, Audra Guillory was the leader with four. Guillory is crushing it when it comes to sacks: she's posted at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, El Cajon Valley didn't have quite enough to beat West Hills on Thursday and fell 20-18.

El Cajon Valley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for El Capitan, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-5.
