Volleyball Recap: Addison Trail's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Addison Trail came into Saturday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past the Cary-Grove Trojans 2-1. This was payback for the Blazers, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Cary-Grove had strong showings from Morgan Evelo, who had 12 assists and eight digs, and Lucy Wittenberg, who had 12 digs and four aces.

Addison Trail's victory bumped their record up to 10-17. As for Cary-Grove, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-23.

Cary-Grove didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against East Peoria on the 11th. Hopefully Addison Trail paid attention to the Trojans' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Trojans at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
