Soccer Recap: Emerson Extends Winning Streak to Three

Emerson hadn't done well against Memorial recently (they were 0-4 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Emerson Mavericks walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Memorial Warriors. John Pacheco had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Mavericks.

The win was the third in a row for Emerson, bringing their record for this year to 11-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three games. As for Memorial, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Emerson will head out to take on Centennial at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Centennial's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Emerson's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Memorial, they are taking a road trip to challenge Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
