Softball Recap: Lincolnwood Comes Up Short

If Lincolnwood was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Litchfield on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lancers took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mulberry Grove Aces on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Lincolnwood has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Mulberry Grove, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Coming up, Lincolnwood will take on Greenfield/Northwestern at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mulberry Grove, they will square off against Father McGivney Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
