Basketball Recap: Pace Academy Knights vs. Grayson Rams
Pace Academy kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Grayson Rams, falling 77-56. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2020.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hayden Clay, who shot 50% from the field en route to 17 points. Brielen Craft was another key player, putting up 14 points and three steals.
Pace Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Holy Innocents Episcopal at 4:20 p.m. on the 24th. As for Grayson, they will square off against Winder-Barrow at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
