Basketball Recap: Animas Comes Up Short

Animas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 36th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 64-29 defeat at the hands of the Quemado Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-38 on February 1st.

When it comes to explaining why Animas lost, don't look at Lucas Mulganon. Despite the final result, he went 5-for-11 on his way to 10 points.

Animas' loss dropped their record down to 0-23. As for Quemado, they now have a winning record of 13-12.

Looking ahead, Animas will challenge Reserve at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Quemado does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
