Soccer Recap: Lake Nona Gets the Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lake Nona walked away with it. They came out on top against the Cypress Creek Bears by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The win got Lake Nona back to even at 7-7-3. As for Cypress Creek, they moved to 10-7 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Lake Nona will challenge Freedom at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Freedom is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season. Cypress Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
