After a string of four wins, Elmwood's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 82-52 loss at the hands of the Peoria Christian Chargers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Trojans have suffered since December 26, 2023.

Elmwood's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Peoria Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Elmwood will square off against Brimfield at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Peoria Christian, they will face off against Illini Bluffs at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. Peoria Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Illini Bluffs likes a good challenge.
