Softball Recap: Maxwell Comes Up Short

It was a good run, but Maxwell unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 13-5 to the St. Bernard's Crusaders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 10-9 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Maxwell's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-1. As for St. Bernard's, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Looking ahead, Maxwell will take on Trinity in a tournament on Friday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for St. Bernard's, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Ferndale at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
