The Myers Park Mustangs will head out to challenge the Ardrey Kell Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Myers Park is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.7 goals per game this season.

Myers Park is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of North Carolina's top teams: South Mecklenburg, who was ranked 17th at the time (Myers Park was ranked first). The Mustangs never let the Sabres get on the board and left with a 2-0 win last Friday. Conner Greene had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Myers Park.

Meanwhile, Ardrey Kell waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Huskies. Ahmed Shibeika had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Ardrey Kell got from the refs.

Ardrey Kell's victory bumped their record up to 11-2-4. As for Myers Park, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.

Myers Park was able to grind out a solid victory over Ardrey Kell in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
