Basketball Recap: Fairfield Takes a Loss

Fairfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 69-45 to the Southern Huntingdon County Rockets. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 50-37 to the Rockets when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cohen Snyder had an outrageously good game for Southern Huntingdon County as he went 8-for-16 to rack up 18 points and six boards. Snyder has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 45% every time he's hit the court this season. Daniel Lessley was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Fairfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Southern Huntingdon County, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.

Coming up, Fairfield will head out to challenge Hanover at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Southern Huntingdon County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against West Branch at 7:15 p.m.
