Soccer Game Preview: Sherando vs. Millbrook

The Sherando Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Millbrook Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Sherando fell victim to Brentsville District and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 1-0. Sherando haven't had much luck with Brentsville District recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Millbrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Kettle Run. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Millbrook struggled afterwards.

Sherando's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Millbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

Sherando beat Millbrook by a goal in their previous meeting back in March, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
