Softball Recap: Tunkhannock's Undefeated Season over After Eight Games

Tunkhannock was the 16-0 winner over Dallas when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell just short of the Mountaineers by a score of 6-5 on Thursday. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Tunkhannock fell to 7-1. As for Dallas, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

Coming up, Tunkhannock will face off against Mid Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Tigers have won six straight at home dating back to last season, while the Spartans won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Dallas, they will square off against Northwest Area at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
