Desert Vista is 2-8 against Hamilton since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Thunder will welcome the Huskies at 3:45 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Desert Vista is returning to their home field after beating Mountain View on theirs, despite the fact Mountain View has dominated at home this season. The Thunder were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Toros on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Thunder sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Mckenzie Leitgen was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristina Mendoza, who scored three runs and stole a base.
Leitgen wasn't the only one making solid contact: Desert Vista kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The Thunder are a perfect 15-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Hamilton won against Chandler on Monday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Everything went the Huskies' way against Corona del Sol as they made off with a 13-2 victory. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Izzy Estevez looked comfortable as she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Madison Sauni, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played. Briley Pinks was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Hamilton's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-7-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Desert Vista, their win bumped their record up to 19-5.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Desert Vista has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .557. However, it's not like Hamilton struggles in that department as they've averaged .449. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Desert Vista might still be hurting after the 13-1 defeat they got from Hamilton when the teams last played back in May of 2022. Can the Thunder avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
