The Smyer Bobcats''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They suffered a tough 29-6 defeat at the hands of Morton. Smyer was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Morton apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.

Peyton Casillas threw for 52 yards and a touchdown. Rylan Smith was his top target, picking up 36 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Preston Moore rushed for 69 yards.

Smyer's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Morton, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 5-3.
