Softball Recap: Houston Takes a Loss

Houston fell victim to St. Benedict at Auburndale and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Eagles. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Mustangs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Houston saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Logan, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

With the defeat, Houston broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6. As for St. Benedict at Auburndale, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Houston will square off against St. George's at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Houston is facing St. George's at the right time seeing as St. George's is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for St. Benedict at Auburndale, they will challenge University School of Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
