Volleyball Recap: Algonquin Regional Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

If Leominster wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Algonquin Regional, they should've done a better job of containing Makenna Lindblom. The Titans put the hurt on the Blue Devils with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday with plenty of help from Lindblom, who had ten digs. She has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

While Algonquin Regional won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 27-25, 25-9.

Algonquin Regional's win ended a nine-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-13. As for Leominster, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 7-12.

Algonquin Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Leominster, they will square off against South Lancaster Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
