Baseball Game Preview: Dover Eagles vs. Northern York Polar Bears

The Dover Eagles will square off against the Northern York Polar Bears at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Dover has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with four straight defeats, while Northern York will come in with three straight victories.

Dover lost 10-2 to Kennard-Dale on Friday.

Dover saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Hare, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double was Hare's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Northern York won against Waynesboro on Wednesday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Polar Bears sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over Donegal.

Collin McDonald spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.

Dover's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Northern York, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
