James Cavender posted a new career-high in hits on Monday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Cavender's strong effort led Camarillo over Oak Park and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Scorpions are a perfect 10-0 against the Eagles going back to April of 2022, a lead they'll look to extend.
