Soccer Game Preview: Boise vs. Coeur d'Alene + Official Tickets

The Boise Brave will challenge the Coeur d'Alene Vikings at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Boise's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Boise is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Caldwell, who was ranked 13th at the time (Boise was ranked 14th). The Brave fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Lake City kept up with Coeur d'Alene until halftime on Tuesday, but afterwards: not so much. The Vikings blew past the Timberwolves 3-0. Coeur d'Alene might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by three goals or more this season.

Ethan Luna and Jacob Shaporda scored all three of Coeur d'Alene's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

The win made it two in a row for Coeur d'Alene and bumps their season record up to 10-4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those two contests. As for Boise, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8-1 record this season.

Boise took their win against Coeur d'Alene in their previous meeting back in October of 2016 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Brave have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
