Basketball Game Preview: Spring Mills Cardinals vs. Fairmont Senior Polar Bears

Spring Mills is 0-5 against Fairmont Senior since December of 2016 but things could change on Saturday. The Spring Mills Cardinals will take on the Fairmont Senior Polar Bears at 2:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Spring Mills was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 43-38 to Martinsburg.

Meanwhile, Fairmont Senior was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Buckhannon-Upshur, falling 46-23. The matchup marked the Polar Bears' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Fairmont Senior's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Spring Mills, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Spring Mills ended up a good deal behind Fairmont Senior in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, losing 80-62. Can Spring Mills avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
