North Salinas put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the King City Mustangs a 10-0 shutout. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

North Salinas let Drew Cervantes and Jake Burkhardt run wild. Cervantes went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run, while Burkhardt went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Those three hits gave Cervantes a new career-high. Another player making a difference was David Avina, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

North Salinas always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .654. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as King City only posted an OBP of .059.

North Salinas pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for King City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.

Looking ahead, North Salinas will welcome Lynbrook at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for King City, they will head out to face off against Watsonville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
