There's no place like home for St. Mary's Ryken, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Archbishop Carroll Lions with a sharp 3-0 win on Monday. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Knights this season.

St. Mary's Ryken's got stronger as the match went on, holding Archbishop Carroll to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-9, 25-8.

Ella Burghardt paced St. Mary's Ryken's offense, picking up seven kills. Burghardt got some help from Alex Campbell and her 16 assists. Camille Munley controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

St. Mary's Ryken's victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5. As for Archbishop Carroll, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.
