Midfield hadn't done well against Fairfield recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Patriots escaped with a win against the Tigers by the margin of a single free throw, 46-45. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Patriots as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Jashawn Moore had another great game (as he tends to do), dropping a double-double with 14 points and 18 boards. Those 18 rebounds gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Adams-Martin, who posted 14 points.

Midfield smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. They are 2-1 when they hit their own glass that hard.

The victory got Midfield back to even at 5-5. As for Fairfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Midfield will head out to square off against Lanett at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fairfield, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Shades Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
