Cleburne extended their losing streak  to five  on Friday, dropping them down to 2-6. They took  a  38-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Oak Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 495th, while the Hawks are ranked 123rd).

 Despite the loss, Cleburne still got an impressive performance from   Luke Stewart, who rushed for 127 yards and three  touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also threw for 209 yards and one  TD. 118 of those passing yards were hauled in by CJ Kensley, who also brought in a  receiving touchdown.
As for Red Oak, they now  have a winning record of 4-3. The  victory continues a trend for them in their matchups with Cleburne: they've now won four in a row.
 Red Oak's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Daylan Johnson, who rushed for 115 yards and a pair of  scores while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was  Billy Middleton, who rushed for 61 yards and one  TD.
