Basketball Recap: Woodland Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hudson's Bay last Thursday, Woodland came back down to earth. The Woodland Beavers took a blow against the Columbia River Rapids on Wednesday, falling 87-22. The Beavers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-12.

Woodland dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Columbia River, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodland will take on Ridgefield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Columbia River, they will challenge Washougal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
