Softball Game Preview: Walnut Wildcats vs. Pine Grove Panthers

Walnut is 2-8 against Pine Grove since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats challenge the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Walnut lost 8-2 to Tishomingo County on Tuesday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Walnut saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Hicks, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 19 runs the game before, Pine Grove was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They came up short against Kossuth, falling 16-2. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Aggies recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Pine Grove now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Walnut, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.
