Preview: Lewiston Bengals vs. Timberlake Tigers
Lewiston is 2-8 against Timberlake since November of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Lewiston Bengals will head out on the road to face off against the Timberlake Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Lewiston is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Saturday, Lewiston lost to Sandpoint on the road by a decisive 58-42 margin. While losing is never fun, Lewiston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while Sandpoint is ranked 17th).
Meanwhile, Timberlake was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 58-53 to Sandpoint.
Lewiston has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Timberlake, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
Lewiston came up short against Timberlake when the teams last played back in January, falling 54-43. Can Lewiston avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
