Volleyball Recap: Hayes Takes a Loss

Hayes lost against Westerville South on September 4th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pacers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Pacers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Hayes was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Westerville South work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 31-29, 25-21, 20-25, 25-17.

Claire Davis paced Hayes' offense, picking up 21 kills. Davis got some help from Mara Tope and her 32 assists.

Hayes' loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Westerville South, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hayes will square off against rival Dublin Scioto at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Westerville South is set to challenge their familiar foe Westland at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
