Softball Game Preview: North Side Steers vs. Cleburne Yellowjackets

The North Side Steers will be taking part in a tournament against the Cleburne Yellowjackets at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. North Side is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Friday just wasn't the day for North Side's offense. They lost 16-0 to Saginaw on Friday.

Meanwhile, Cleburne came up short against Ryan on Friday and fell 6-3. The Yellowjackets haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Kadenze Quzma was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Jayce Jones was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

North Side's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Cleburne, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

North Side couldn't quite finish off Cleburne in their previous meeting back in February of 2025 and fell 6-4. Can the Steers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
