Basketball Recap: Lawrence Comes Up Short

Lawrence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Steinert Spartans 57-26. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 45-10 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Lawrence's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Steinert, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lawrence and Trenton Central will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Steinert will take on Notre Dame in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
