Soccer Game Preview: Copper Canyon vs. Westview

The Copper Canyon Aztecs will square off against the Westview Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Westview took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Copper Canyon, who comes in off a win.

Copper Canyon is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over North Canyon back in December of 2024. That's two games straight that the Aztecs have won by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Westview fell victim to Combs and their airtight defense on Monday. They lost 5-0 to the Coyotes. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly five goals.

The win got Copper Canyon back to even at 2-2. As for Westview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Copper Canyon came up short against Westview when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Copper Canyon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
