Baseball Recap: Owen County Comes Up Short

Owen County lost against Anderson County back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Owen County fell 7-2 to Anderson County. The Rebels just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row dating back to last season.

Owen County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryson Tirey, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Owen County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Anderson County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Owen County has already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Eminence on the 25th. As for Anderson County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 7-6 win against Simon Kenton on the 22nd.
